Hello Friend! It’s time for my monthly favorites for February 2021! I gotta say, I jammed a lot into just 28 short days – – life was crazy. This month, while I did a few new things, I relied on pulling out some of my old favorites that I had forgotten about. So let’s get started!

beauty favorites
revlon photo ready candid glow foundation ($7)
I told myself this month that I really do. not. need. any more makeup. But when I saw that Revlon had released a glow version of their Photo Ready foundation that I already love, I had to try it. And I haven’t been able to put it down since. Even with my oily-combination skin, by the time I reach February, my skin is dull and in need of some vitamin D. This foundation gives my skin that extra little needed boost it needs at the end of winter.
colourpop supershock blush ($8) & lippie stix ($7)
colourpop hydrating setting mist ($12)
In February I pulled out some products that were already in my collection that I had neglected for awhile. While I certainly didn’t plan it this way, almost all of them were from ColourPop. Their Supershock blush formula is one of my all-time favorites and the shade “Birthday Suit” is perfect for every day. And ColourPop’s Lippie Stix lipsticks are also my favorites. They are perfectly creamy and smell divine.
Completing all of the ColourPop I pulled out my drawer this month is the Hydrating Setting Mist from ColourPop. This was also just what my skin needed to get me through the last bit of winter – – a super-hydrating mist that smells amazing to be the last step in my makeup application routine.
the ordinary niacinamide serum ($6)
After testing this out for several months, I am confident finally including this in a monthly favorites. This makes such a different for my combination oily skin to stop extra oil production which has an extra added bonus of keeping my makeup on longer!
entertainment favorites
favorite booK: women of the word by jen wilkin
My book for the month of February was a total home run and was exactly what I needed to dive deeper into my Bible study. If you’re looking to do more than just scratch the surface in your Bible study, I would highly recommend this book!
favorite tv show: selena the series on netflix
Wow, what an underrated series on Netflix. This series was spectacular and I can’t wait for Part 2 / Season 2 to debut. It made me fall in love all over again with this tragic story. Yup, if you’re not familiar with Selena – – this story is devastatingly tragic. This was a stellar series that has been flying under the radar that I would highly recommend and definitely belongs in my monthly favorites for February.
favorite album: blue haze by miles davis
Continuing on the jazz trend from January, I have been digging listening to Miles Davis all month long. Looking forward to discovering more Miles Davis albums in the future because this one was epic.
favorite youtube channel: ambient worlds
This channel is my favorite place for all of Harry Potter, Disney, Twilight and movie score background music paired with great animation. And especially given we are going on month eleven of staying home more than ever, it’s a great escape – – whether it’s Hogwarts, Magic Kingdom or Bella Swan’s bedroom.
